Well, to put it aptly, I don’t appreciate things I get too easily. I Know You’re Not Technically My Mom. Ever since I was little, I had a dream of making my own wedding dress. At the very least, I would have my mother make one for me. You see, that was the environment I grew up in. My mother took fashion design and was constantly, for as long as I can remember, whipping up something amazing with her sewing machine.

As I remember my Mom these days following her passing, technically, this is just this side of politics but the story is too fun to pass up. In 1976, my parents attended a major event in Los Angeles in support of President Ford’s re-election. At these events, a photographer for either the White House or event will take shots of the supporters shaking the President’s hand in the receiving line.
